With regular maintenance mechanical levelers are a durable and reliable solution, Mechanical pit levelers are a great choice if you are looking for lower upfront installation cost. These types of levelers are also referred to as “mechanical leveler boards” “pit levelers” and “leveler ramps.” 

Hydraulic Dock Levelers

Hydraulic pit levelers may be the right choice if you are looking for equipment that can handle the constant and heavy traffic of a busy warehouse. These levelers are easy to operate, safe and are often the choice for high volume operations desiring the safest, quickest, and most durable equipment. If you are looking to purchase commercial dock levelers, it’s important to remember hydraulic board levelers have a higher initial cost for installation but the overall maintenance can be much lower than other options.

Air Powered Dock Levelers

A very dependable and affordable option for some applications may be our air-controlled dock leveler ramps. These pit leveler ramps are raised and lowered by a push button activated inflatable air bag although they are not as fast as hydraulic powered ramps. Edge of dock levelers or (EOD’s) are mounted outside the roll up door to the top of the vertical dock face. In most cases they are installed and usable the same day and are some of the least expensive options for loading dock ramps. They have a more limited usable travel range but can work great in specific applications. Edge-O-dock levelers are available in both mechanical and hydraulic powered options.
